PreDoc university assistant Department of Psychology / Division of Work, Organizational and Economic Psychology
The is seeking to fill the position of research assistant in accordance with the Austrian Universities Act (Universitätsgesetz, UG) and the Employees Act (Angestelltengesetz) as a university assistant in accordance with § 26 of the collective agreement for universities (doctoral candidate). (Category B1; the minimum gross monthly salary for this position is € 2,786.10 (14 x per year) and may be adjusted based on previous experience and skills).- Planned start of employment: as soon as possible
- Duration of contract: 4 years
- Hours per week: 30
- Working hours: by arrangement
- Scientific support in research and teaching in the field of work, organizational and economic psychology; administrative tasks;
- independent research activities including the writing and publication of a doctoral thesis;
- independent teaching load two semester hours per week, probably as of the second year of employment;
- collaboration in research projects.
- A diploma or master’s degree in psychology;
- Prerequisite: admission to the relevant doctoral program at the University of Salzburg.
- Outstanding statistical and methodical skills (including common or modern data analysis procedures such as SPSS, R);
- Knowledge of process analysis methods and tools (mediation-moderation models according to Hayes);
- methods for analyzing factor structures and evaluating EMA data;
- experience of planning and implementing empirical studies as well as laboratory studies (knowledge of Limesurvey is desirable) and writing manuscripts in English;
- interest in the research field of work-related stress.

- quick comprehension;
- committed to familiarizing oneself with new areas and methods;
- enthusiasm for the department’s research activities.
