PHD POSITIONS IN TRANSFORMATION RESEARCH

The newly established international doctoral program 鈥淓mbracing Transformation鈥� invites applications from scientifically outstanding and committed master鈥檚 graduates striving to become part of a new hub for transformation research at Leuphana University of 尝眉苍别产耻谤驳. PhD scholars will take part in a unique university-wide research endeavor, combining both disciplinary and interdisciplinary seminars, workshops and conferences related to international transformation research. The unique and internationally competitive doctoral program provides cutting-edge methods and advanced theories in the following six interdisciplinary key research areas:

• Climate Futures in Digital Cultures
• Companies as Drivers of Sustainability Transformations
• Democratic Resilience
• Organizing in Times of Crisis
• Psychology of Transformation
• Toward a Regenerative Society

The best PhD proposals for each research area are eligible for an excellence-based scholarship. Self- or externally funded doctoral candidates meeting the scientific criteria are more than welcome to apply. The six research areas are carried out under the umbrella of the new Leuphana Transformation Lab and are a joint endeavor of Leuphana鈥檚 five academic schools: Culture and Society, Education, Management and Technology, Public Affairs as well as Sustainability. The program starts in April 2026. What we offer:
