The professorship in the Conservation of Historic Buildings and Existing Structures constitutes a preliminary appointment leading on to the professorship in Historic Building Conservation and Research which is expanding its areas of responsibility through research and teaching on questions in regard to how we deal with existing structures, including those that are not protected as listed buildings.
